Hi! I'm Ximena Alvarez Portilla, a visual development artist and illustrator based in Mexico City, available for projects worldwide.

I’m currently directing the animated short film "Farewell.", recipient of the Audience Award at Lanterna Mágica Festival, and officially selected at LALIFF, Chilemonos, Athens Animfest, and additional international festivals, including Academy Award–qualifying events.

I enjoy developing characters, worlds and visual narratives that bring stories to life through collaborative creative processes.
